On a previous visit with our daughter and son-in-law about a month before, the food was great and the service was perfect. On this visit the food was great but the service was the worst we have had in maybe ten years. Our waitress kept disappearing for extended periods of time and I couldn't figure out where she was disappearing to for so long. It was like she was going home to watch TV and then returning to do a little work. We entered the restaurant shortly after 7:30pm, the above dessert photo was taken at 9:40pm, and we didn't get out of there until 10:30pm, which is awfully long for a dinner. Fortunately we had a lot of interesting conversations to make the time go by quickly but this was kind of insane.
The Flashback Diner is located at the site of the last Lums Restaurant in the southeastern USA. They still serve the Ollieburger for old times' sake.
