I snuck in the Omni Mall 2 years ago thru an open door and OMFG it was amazing to see after 21 yrs even tho its mostly guted there are still some interesting artifacts and AND to this day the tile floor between the floor is still intact. The last omni office is the only thing not gutted there and the sofa cioverd in dust and all the office furniture is frozen in time and on the desk lies a coke from 21 yrs ago and a pack of gum. It was a blast. I have over 100 videos i took and I went thru every part of the mall and the old chinese restaurant on biscayne and club allexanders and guess what. In the employees corridrs of the hotel i found STILL to this day PERFECTLY intact and frozen in time with the neon lights still on over the dance Floor........................CLUB SCARAMUCH

Yes, the memories of the Omni, the one behind the 163 mall and there was one on 71street in Miami Beach. There was something to do every weekend after chores.

It is a tragedy that today's children will not experience the magnificent movie theaters of the past. I recall the rich drapery, the art deco interiors, the neon wall clock and the rich thick reclining seats. And the screens, they were actually big, big enough that you could get lost in the movie. Shoot, today's theaters have twenty shows were there were only one or two at most. Gone are the days when 2000 of us kids were waiting for some old film every Saturday during the summer at the old 163rd st theater that cost our parents 35 cents.
