1959 - Ray Peterson's album for "Goodnight My Love" that Rick Shaw signed off with every night
Accept no substitutions! This is the song that Rick Shaw signed off with every night on WQAM 560AM Tiger Radio and that Rick still plays at reunions and functions.
One more thing... This is a 45 rpm record picture sleeve, NOT the album cover...

A clarification: While Ray Peterson's version of "Goodnight My Love" was first released in 1959, it was Rick Shaw's early 1960s use of it as his closing "theme song" that led me to the comment "this early-60s remake".
No doubt RCA picked up a number of extra sales they might not have had if it weren't for Rick's use of the record each night...

Yes, for Miami this early-60s remake of the Jesse Belvin original was "the" version to hear and have...
Ray also was an entrepreneur, having owned the small Dunes record label which was distributed by Big Top Records in the beginning of the 1960s.
Peterson's remake of the old standard "Corrine, Corrina" and Curtis Lee's "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" were the biggest sellers for the Dunes label.
