Don Mamula and his wife arrived earlier in the day after a 32-day cruise from Capetown, South Africa to Port Everglades via port calls at Namibia, St. Helena, Brazil, Devil's Island, Barbados and St. Kitts. They overnighted in Ft. Lauderdale prior to flying home to Washington State the next day. His wife gave him a hall pass so he could join Kev Cook and me for dinner and beers at Bryson's. Of course we were there for historical research purposes as usual because Bryson's first opened in 1947 which is my birth year.
