During the 1967 to 1970 time frame the Air Force Recruiting Office was in the southeast corner of the building and the Coast Guard Recruiting Office was in the middle and northeast corner, separated by a hallway that ran the length of the eastern half of the building. The Marine Corps and Army Recruiting offices were between the central lobby and the Air Force and the Navy Recruiting Office was over on the western half of the building. We used to park our personal cars on the street next to the building and we had to run out to feed the meters every hour or two, whatever the maximum parking period was. Of course I supplied the City of Tampa with a ton of money in parking ticket fines when I didn't make it out in time to feed the meter. The building on the right was not there then - there was a large surface parking lot for federal agency vehicles to the north of the Federal Building.
