1952 - aerial view of Hialeah, Florida

Hialeah, Florida

A great aerial image of Hialeah with the two old airports in the upper right corner. There is no development west of Red Road (W. 4th Avenue) north of W. 36th Street and all sorts of undeveloped land throughout the city. Hialeah High had not been built yet. The 103rd Street overpass over the Atlantic Coast Line railroad tracks is visible.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Steven Gold, my first taste of railroad life was in the rail yard on the east side of this picture. I went on to a thirty five year career with Union Pacific Railroad.
