Welcome to the on-line gallery of C. Dennis McKelroy Photography. A Texas photographer based in South-east Texas. A lifelong resident and 6th generation Texan with a real love of all things Texas. God has blest me with the best backyard in the world. I enjoy every chance I get to explore more of it and the blessing of being able to share what I capture through photography with everyone who has a few minutes to spare to enjoy it with me.
The folders: Birds of Texas are photos from the past several years. While most are from local wildlife refuses and beaches, some come from other locals like Big Bend and West Texas.
The Reptiles and Amphibians folder has alligators, snakes, and scary things. But they are part of the creation and God put them here for a reason. If you get past the scare they are charming in there their own way.
Travel is mostly from days long ago when I was young and daring. I had the ambition to travel to foreign lands seeking adventure and excitement. After 9-11, I don't care to venture any farther than were my truck will take me without a passport.
Texas has so many photo opportunities it will be hard to capture them all in a lifetime. As the State is constantly changing, I am trying to capture and save the old for future generations.
In the Spring, Texas comes alive with wild flowers. I have travelled around the state looking for the best places to capture them.
The Black and White, Events, and Portraits folders cover some of latest endeavors. Photography and the use of the computer as a darkroom is never ending learning process.
My BIO tells of some my achievements over the years, kind of like a resume. Just want people to know I am working hard to be good and I am learning to be professional.
New Ones offer the freshest of my work. I’m excited to be learning some new techniques and HDR photography. This new technology has really opened up a whole new light on the direction of photography for the future.
