This panorama was taken from South Chinese "Mountain" on Quadra Island.
The elevation is less than 400 metres, and the hike up takes less than an hour.
You are looking west by north-west. The small body of water on the right is
Morte Lake on Quadra Island. The body of water in the center of the image is
Discovery Passage, which separates little Quadra Island from the much larger
Vancouver Island. The mountains (the real mountains) in the background are
on Vancouver Island.
This image was made using Photomerge and HDR software. The camera was
rotated to three positions, and seven exposures were taken at each position.
