This is the grounding rod in the soil ,,, which is also obvious, but I didn't want to leave anyone confused. I cut my grounding wires so that it would penitrate the soil about 30 inches (about .75 meters), which is about twice as long as the minimum recommended. It had raind the day before and my ground was a bit wet to the wire was easy to push into the ground. In a few places I did have to hold onto the wire with Vice Gripes (locking pliers) to help push the wire into the ground.
