I put a pole in the ground where I wanted to start and then one at the end where the row would end. I then went further out and put another pole so, if I kept the two end polls aligned, I knew I was going in a straight line. It worked fairly well and there is only minor bows in the row. You can also see where the lawn mower has cut the grass for the roto tiller.
