Put heat srink on the connection to keep it from shorting out on the bulb base. You can also use plastic electrical tape or, as I did at the demonstration for the Alachua Astronomy Club, ATM group, use scoth tape. Anything that isolated the bare wires from the bulb base will work. Heat shrink tubing works and looks good. If you have it, use it. If you don't use something else.
