My wife's side of the family trace part of their roots to Bone Gap, Illinois. She has never been to Bone Gap before but her father was born there and her grandmother and grandfather are buried there. While on vacation we stopped by to take a look and took a few photos. It was very moving for her to be in a town where her father grew up and she has a history she is still learning about. Unfortunately we could only stay a couple of hours and had to get back on the road, but it was a memorable adventure and we hope to return again some day.
