View Along the River

Dublin, Ireland

Featuring the Jeanie Johnston, a reconstructed famine ship which still sails to different places and is a museum I believe. She had the reputation of getting all her passengers safely to North America, which could not be said for the rest of the ships ferrying emigrants across the Atlantic during the potato famine. More on her history at jeaniejohnston.ie/history Further down is the iconic Dublin Convention Center.

The tilted building keeps drawing my eye to it...

It makes for an interesting dichotomy. I find the cylindrical, angled building is different for difference sake. Not a good reason. "V"

those were desperate times when the famine ships ferried people away from Ireland during a distressed era...interesting to see one of the vessels intact...as for the tipsy convention centre, will gladly sample whatever the architect was drinking..

That's a scene I never imagined to see in Ireland...cool that they still have an old vessel in the harbour.. super image Dan! V
