Spiders

I love photographing spiders. They're one of my favourite subjects. The photos in this gallery were taken with either the Nikon Coolpix 4500 (one swell macro camera!) or the Nikon D70 Digital SLR camera.

I have found some spiders in my house (matamoros mexico, across the border from brownsville, texas)and i would like to know what type of spiders are and if they are dangerous. I live in Tucson, and just found a spider that's exactly like the comment posted by Wetherhold (sp?). Large, with black and white striped legs and a red butt. What on earth is it??

spiders...some cool shots...eyes,etc. There was a spider on my windshield as I backed out of the garage in Tucson..... Black ...white stripes on his...her...legs ,....with an orange/red butt and some of the color on top of ass end. Kept driving and appeared glued to the windshield for a period of 5 min., then began to endure the pressure of the motion. then finally moved as I was moving down the road...and worked its way slowly till it made it into the well of my driver's motot wiper opening. Anyway... a clue of what kind of spider ? ...that escaped into my truck...didin't swosh him...her... off the windshield.....any pictures of my explanation ? Or Ideas....

Great gallery and seeing this makes me realize that I will NEVER ever complain again over our swedish spiders. They are tiny and totally harmless, creepy yes, but still small.
