I'll come right out and say it. From the initial leaked K10 D photos and announcement on Steve's Digicam website, my impression is that the Pentax K10D has got to be the King of sub-$1000 digital SLRs featuring a 10MP imaging sensor (specifically, the K10D features an APS-C CCD Sony sensor, with 10.75 million total pixels measuring 23.5 x 15.7 mm). Competition-pounding, weather-sealed body stuffed up to the neck with features such as the ability to use *all Pentax lenses built since 1964* (eat that!, Nikon and Canon!), built-in Shake-Reduction (too cool - SR with all your lenses since 1964!), a sensor dust removal system, 9 cross-type AF sensors (of the 11 AF brackets in total) and more.

This page will track interesting discussions, points, articles, image samples, reviews and everything else related to this phenomenal camera from Pentax. On another note, it's disappointing that there have been no K10D sample photos available on the internet yet ... I can't wait to get my hands on the test pictures as soon as they surface - I'll keep you posted about it here ... official K10D image samples are available ... see below for the link.
