These unprocessed, full-sized images shot with the Nikon D40 and the Nikon 45mm f/2.8 P pancake lens are courtesy of Joshua Dearing of Dearingfilm.com and Jeff Chen.
A particularly spectacular shot by Jeff is the ISO3200 photo taken under incandescent lighting - one of the worst possible lighting situations to put a digital camera through, and the image quality is outstanding, even with Noise Reduction set to OFF.
It won't be easy finding many samples taken with this combination, so go ahead and view the pics in all their glory.
Jeff-C explains why the 45mm f/2.8P is more suited to manual focusing vs the Nikkor 50mm f/18D lens.
This is how the Nikon D40 would look like with the Nikkor 45mm pancake lens mounted on it.
