Photography has been a love of mine for decades, and I am happily learning more of the art and craft all the time. I presently shoot with a wonderful new Canon Digital Rebel XTI, a Canon 18-55 mm, a Canon 75-300 zoom, and a new Tonika 12-24 mm that is a very nice lens, as well as a good, reliable Sony "Point and Shoot." I also enjoy working with both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Elements, and I highly recommend the book "Complete Digital Photography, Fourth Edition" by Ben Long for anyone wanting to learn more about digital. It is a great inclusive textbook covering many helpful topics from beginner to advanced. I also have some experience with digital scrapbooking via Flip Album's software.
My pbase galleries include photos in a variety of thematic ideas, as well as some dedicated travel galleries of destinations I have visited. I plan to add more galleries from both past and present photographs, and most are saved at a near full-screen resolution or better when viewing individual photographs. Watch for new galleries and additions to existing galleries as appropriate.
Restoring old family photographs and sharing them with extended family members is a part of my other serious hobby, ancestry research. It is quite fulfilling to bring a 100 year-old photo back to life, and I have improved hundreds of family photos so far to the delight of many family members.
