Hi David,

I enjoyed looking through your photo albums. I especially liked your M31 image - trust me when I say I know very well how difficult it is to get M31 looking that good.

Enjoy Astronomy Tools. See you online!

David, your astrophotography is amazing and your galleries are very informative with regard to equipment used and technique. Over the past couple of years the observing / astrophotography bug has been biting me more ferociously and I plan to use your information as a stepping stone for building a system. Congrats on your fine work!!

David, great website! I didn't notice the hyperlink in your e-mail message until this morning. I enjoyed the photos and the weather chart. I'm now inspired to take out my old Mead Telescope.

Regards,

Steve

Hi David - Perry Holcomb passed along your name as someone who uses a WO ZS66SD. I am retired and travel a lot including 3 months to my cottage each year. I am also an AstroTrac owner and need something lightweight. I have looked at many of your 66SD images and am impressed. When I spoke to my local scope store about the ZS66SD, they said I needed a WO .8 FR/FF. I notice that you have used one but not in all your images. Is it something that you would recommend that I get? Yours is the model 2 and I read that its clear aperture probably wasn't wide enough to avoid vignetting. I would appreciate hearing any thoughts you might have on this. I live near Vancouver BC which has lousy weather for astro so I am heading to central California for 6 weeks on Jan 30. I would like to make a purchase before I leave. Any thoughts you have would be very welcome.

Hi, David,

I understand you have a WO ZS66 and WO 0.8 reducer/flattener.

If so, please can you tell me how the ZS66 performs with the reducer. At the moment I'm using an Astrophysics .67 with my ZS66, but the field isn't flat right across the field of my Canon 350D. I wonder if the WO is any better?

Best regards,

Peter.

Hi David!
I have been marveling at the many images that you have been able to create with some very basic equipment. I am very new to astro-photography. I have been taking images for about a year now. I am using a Canon Rebel Xti. My question for you is... The multiple images that you are taking, are these all raw image files?. Thanks!! I think your website is great and very useful for me as a novice astro-photographer.

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers, Chris.

Hi David! Just checked out your site because I live about 6 miles from you.
Your website is an inspiration. Thanks for it.
I have an 8inch Celestron SCT CPC series...and I'm still getting to know it.
I appreciate your website. It was a pleasure to read and I'll check back
often.
