Did the Restonica. Hiked up to the uppermost glacial lake. Beautiful vistas and reasonably
non-trivial hiking over some very rocky terrain where you had to clamber over some large
boulders and rock slides, sometimes you even had to use some stairs and chains thare were
installed to help climbers up. At the upper most glacial lake (45 meters deep), there were
two climbers doing face which was far enough away that they looked like ants, even
in a pair of decent binoculars. It was so quite up there that one of the climber's
girl friend could call out to them across the lake.

We also saw a cow up there (6000 feet approximately), foraging in the bushes. How the
cow got up there was a mystery to me, how it would get down even more so.

Later in the day, we went home and got cleaned up and then went into Ihl Rouse
to eat dinner at a place we didn't think would be that good, but it turned out to be
great. It was called the Osterica and apparently was frequented by a lot of foreigners...
non french that is. I had a super steak and leslie had boar stewed in some redwine
sause. We eat some kind of chocolate tort. Really great meal after a good hike.
