In April of 1973, we drove from Douala to the game park of Waza up near the Chadian border. Highlights of the trip included following the route of the Trans Cameroonian railway which was under construction, a visit to the Soudanese village of Rey Bouba, and a visit to the Kapsiki, beautiful volcanic cores on the Nigerian border.
TECHNOBABBLE: These are, obviously, old slides. They have been stored in the tropics for many years and have suffered. While most came from a Asahi Pentax, some were taken with an unknown, manual exposure camera. They were also processed by two different labs in two countries. The result is that the quality of the basic image varies tremendously. Some are rather ghastly, but some are amazingly good.
