A disappointing, even heartbreaking 2-0 loss today. As the holders I think we were hoping to go forward a bit more, but unfortunately not this season it seems. With Owen out and Rob serving a one match ban, we did struggle at times. Marcus Scrivens made his debut and looked like he was having a good match (hard to tell sometimes with my eye in the viewfinder most of the time).
Lots of pressure couldn't convert itself to a goal, and a mistaken pick up/back pass in Extra time give Oakwood the opportunity to take the lead. A second goal followed and it sealed the match. It was hard to swallow as the boys worked hard and deserved the replay. Lots of late pressure at the end with DJ getting up as well couldn't find find a breakthrough.
Bad luck lads. Heads up.
