Chef (1940-2007)

Chef, who joined Digital Nuts in February of 2003, passed away September 12, 2007.
He was a long-time member of Digital Nuts who contributed regularly. He also served for three years as one of group moderators.
Chef was generous with his time and knowledge, helping many new members feel right at home.

As Christmas gets closer, we begin to think about our friends, the ones we still enjoy talking to, and to those that have pass on to a better life. Chef is one of those people that I will miss for a long time. Almost every time I go to my computer, thoughts of Chef flood my heart. He was the most patient man I have ever known, and his love of his friends was only surpassed by the love of his family. I will remember him forever!! For a man I never actually met in person but feel like I have known him all my life from being a member at DA101. My heart breaks hearing that you passed away. He was always here for me to show me how to create beauty from my computer. I will always be greatful that I got the opportunity to meet this wonderful man. God bless your family in life and in cyberspace. I am so glad to know that all his hard work is stored here. I will miss you. Donna Williams

I feel so sad about this. I will sure miss Chef on Digital Nuts. I always looked forward to his contributions. He was a moderator when I first joined this group, and he was a great help to me during the time I was a moderator. He always understood my bungles, and helped me through them. I will miss seeing his wonderful art each week. This gallery is a beautiful tribute to him. Jim Clatfelter

I just heard of Chef's passing only last night and was deeply saddened. Though we haven't communicated much recently, I considered him a friend and a pretty terrific person. He will be greatly missed. My most heartfelt sympathies go to his family. ~JudiQue

I'd like to take this time to thank everyone for there kind words. Dad was certainly a briliant artist as well as a great father. this has been the hardest week ofmy life.I will miss him so terribly. he loved all of you very much. he talked of the group every time I spoke with him. thank you for being a part ofhis life. always. anthony.

He is just a blessing for people learning the art of digital painting. He experimented with so many techniques and then was kind enough to share them. It was great to ask him a question and he would answer it without making you feel stupid. I will miss him a lot. Anita Stanhope

Oh, my heart is broken over the loss of this beautiful man..but, i know he would want us to celebrate his life..and not be sad...We have all this fabulous work to enjoy and remember..i spent many , many hours learning from Chef..what a legacy and gift..I will carry him in my heart forever..thanks for this lovely tribute.. gypsylulu
