New Delhi is the capital city of India and home to various cultures and arcitectual influences. Various Mughal Invaders down the centuries made it thier base camp to rule the vast Indian subcontinent and the British also made it a capital in the evening years of their rule. In being home to so many rulers it aquired its own mix of cuisine and cultural influences. It profited from the influences of Mughal and British architectural planning and landscaping. Today it is an alive Metropolis with wide roads and a modern airconditioned Subway system that is still being built at a fast pace. Its planned to connect major sites in the city before the 'commonwealth games' by 2010.
Gurgaon, a sleepy Haryana town a few years ago, is today New Delhi's upmarket suburb witnessing massive gentrification and construction of Mega Malls. It is also North India's Info Technology hub for Multinationals, Customer Call Centres & Software Corporate Offices.

Many have asked for both sides of the coin images-meaning depiction of shanty towns, slums, filth and garbage in the streets etc etc. For them i humbly wish to submit that there are 100's of TV channels, news media and zealous photographers who dish out excellent depressive fare and our daily drive down the streets is enough news... Enough negativity and depression has been circulated and it has not helped in eradicating the mess rather it has encouraged people to be more filthy and unaesthetic for want of a better example. And surely no one needs my help to depict misery... the news media are doing a great job of it! THis is my earnest effort to portray a positive, growing and resurgent India that is actually helping the country grow and change our way of thinking.. atleast a few people are taking a stand on cleanliness and systematic growth and this needs to be encouraged instead of glamorising poverty. If poverty was so blessed it would be very simple... we can, tomorrow morning, close down all our factories, shops, offices and industries and hey Presto we are back to the barbaric ages! why be hypocrites... we work and educate towards a better living for us and our children- not for thier poverty and misery!
