With Mike Finn's "Effie" action

Forgot about this action until I was going through the Digitalnuts pBase galleries and found an image I had done with it. Mike used to be very active on the Retouching Forum but he faded out of view and I couldn't find his website when I searched for it today. He produced some of the most wonderful actions out there.

Very nice, Isabel. Mike Finn popped up at dpreview a week or so ago, and his website is still here: http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~mikefinn/ He's been one of my favorites almost since I discovered Photoshop! Patricia

Makes a special image even more so. You took another pic of Beegie on this chair at the same time that would look very nice with this effect - and this color and lighting.

There's a pretty long list of processes to the action. You can achieve similar results if you manually go through all the steps, but I don't think you can run the action. I've just expanded the action so I can capture all the steps. It might give you some ideas about how it was done. Click on "next". Isabel

I like this effect, Isabel. Can it be done in Photo. Elements?
