Here are additional National Parks and Monuments, as well as State Parks, Local Memorials and a landmark.

The landmark is a large rock outcropping called Shiprock.

While traveling to Carlsbad Caverns, we discovered a very beautiful local park in the city of Las Cruces, NM. It is called Vetran's Memeorial Park and has a tribute to those vetrans who served in all america's major wars from Doņa Aņ county, New Mexico. A special memorial is dedicated to those who died, and to those survived, in the the first battle of World War II. The was in the Phillipine Islands and is know as the Bataan Death March.

And the final non-NPS site that we visited is called the, "Chimney Rock Archaeological Area" outside Pagosa Springs, CO. It is most unique in that the site was built at the highest point on a narrow ridge
