Message from Dick Godfrey
I have been taking photographs for over 50 years and have experimented with just about all of the variations possible -- from Minox to 8x10, infrared, ultraviolet, film and digital. The current flood of digital cameras and their capabilites combined with the internet have made photography a whole new art form that I find very exiting.
I'm still shooting with the FujiFilm HS20, and I swear that I'm getting better photos with it than I ever got with my Nikon. I use Lithium AA batteries and can get about 600 shots on one set of four. If I shoot movies, or continuous focus, I reduce the total number of photos to about half that number.
I have just returned from a month-long cruise starting in Tahiti and traveling about 7000 miles along the coast of South America, transiting the Panama Canal, and ending in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
I'm still working on some of the shots from this trip, but will start propagating a new gallery (Andes Explorer) immediately.
Dick
