While out scouting for hawks, I saw this coyote about a quarter of a mile away and was amazed at how well he blended into the grass. It was moving when I first saw it. Right after I took this photograph a hawk went down into the field a little ways from the coyote. The coyote went immediately towards where the bird landed. Unfortunately, I could not see what happened as there was a knoll. Pretty interesting behavior anyway.
