This river meanders through the Adirondak village of Old Forge. It's a beautiful if short kayak ride on some quiet waters until you either hit a the damn or some rapids. We had the same weather system each day with beautiful cloud build up, dissapating by evening. Most days were too windy for the kayak on the lakes, though the river seemed sheltered.
