The Upper Peninsula in Michigan is a rugged place. Our two weeks in the fall there were brutal for weather, and this is the only evening we had a bit of sun. After seeing Lake Superior looking like the wildest ocean, it's not hard to imagine substantial ships being lost here. It is a beautiful place however, and I'm sure I did only scratch the surface in what it had to offer.
