Female Kestrel with Bird

At this point, the young aren't seen. The adult enters the box and will tear the meal into small pieces. Kestrels are very good hunters and there is little problem with everyone being fed. This of course depends on both adults being alive and prey being plentiful. The adult Kestrels in this case were very good parents. Though I couldn't know it at this point, there were six young in total; two females and four males.
