Late Night Light

I went to bed early last night, I thought we would snuggle. Snuggling turned out not to be on the agenda, so I went downstairs and popped in the Gone With The Wind DVD.

At about 1:00 AM this morning after I had secured all the lights and locked the portals and was walking through the livingroom to return upstairs I noticed light from the street light shinning throught the frond door window. I liked how it looked on the entry table (I forget the proper name for the table) so I went back into my office, pulled out the tripod and Canon and snapped a couple shots. This was the first shot I took.

Nice light and kind of a solitary feeling is what I get from it.

Hope you like it.

This is a beautiful still life image. I love the colour of the vase and object nest to it. The contrasting colours of different woods is wonderful.

I like the colors on this picture. The blue of the vase is nice with
the flowers.

I like the feeling of peeking beyond the door, into the shadows and finding a friendly environment, yet a mystery to the dark staircase... great hidden story. cool photo

I sure like it. That light is just perfect. On the door, the flowers and the..... sidetable?

Marvelous image! Such wonderful light and from a street light no less. I would have thought that it was late afternoon sun coming through. Excellent!

The first thing that struck me was the blue light from the vase.
Then the warm lighting from the street, then the warmly toned woods,
and finally the excellent craftmanship in the woodwork itself.
Great image Don.

Beautiful, much like "chiascuro" lighting of the "Old Masters"!

I agree with the others. The lighting is just great. Very warm and it gives the wood that warm hue as well. Very simple and yet very poweful.

This is golden Don. Perhaps a reflection of your mood or inspired by it.
I like the colors and lighting a lot, very well done.
