Charles Burchfield Preserve

Burchfield Preserve West Seneca, NY

The Burchfield Gallery here at the Preserve is holding a "Winter Wonderland" Photography contest. Ben and I went out today to look around. There was not much of a winter wonderland here in Buffalo. Actually, a couple days ago it was 53 degrees F.

Ben took some very interesting shots, I'm sure he will post on his site http://www.pbase.com/bdnieman) I have more Burchfield images at http://www.pbase.com/dhnieman/burchfield pleas visit. None I would use for a competition. I will have to go back.

Good composition. That looks like a pleasant, if chilly, walk.

A pleasing composition with the mirrored S-curve path. The bench adds foreground interest also nicely.

Like the path with the dusting of snow..the trees framing it all.

Couple more inches and you've got your shot.
Would be gorogeous in the fall too.

This shot has a nice feel to it, good lines. I wonder how it would look in black and white?

Most years in Buffalo, the lake effect would have provided a lot more white. Nice picture.
