Yep, odd photo on an odd day

"She did not respect me as a person,
and had issues with my response to that".
I think that quote sums up my marriage.
I was digging through some cabinets tonight.
Just pulling out some tax stuff.
Had to take care of the government ya know.
And I stumbled on this book.
My ex had given it to me near the end.
I remember her giving it to me.
We were having issues in marriage.
And this was one of her solutions.
It was in that last couple years.
She read it and passed it to me.
I never actually read it myself.
Sure, I thumbed it, but not really.
Really she used it as another cudgel.
An instrument of "change".
Really she thought I should change more.
Bend a bit farther, until I was not human.
Then bend just a little bit more.
But then I come down to my new quote.
I actually wrote it myself.
I have to say I am kind of proud of it.

I only repeat it because of how important it is.

Well Duh, trash can!
The book is crap.
Just find someone who respects you.
Someone who listens when you talk.
Someone that cares about you.
Someone that cares about themselves.
Relationships are easy with the right person.
If it isn't, it is the wrong person for you.
You don't need a book to tell you that.
