Hi David, without being to critical I would say this shot is taken with to slow a shutter speed- unless you were deliberately trying for the blurr effect. I have had a steep learning curve on kids sport and the main things I have learnt are 1. keep the shutter speed close to 1000 for action shots even if it means wide open aperature or high ISO (I find the "beercan" great for rugby & shoot mainly in aperature priority at F4 unless it is really bright) and 2 .
