In the early morning a Pakistani Pashtun man guides two horses carrying a heavy load of bricks to be fired in a brick kiln. They are walking through a cloud of dust. Poverty and child labour is pervasive among workers in brick kilns in South Asia. Horses and donkeys also suffer badly. Peshawar alone has approximately 450 brick kilns.
