The past revisited in Hebron

The graffiti painted on the door of a Palestinian home that Jerry Levin is standing beside reads "Gas the Arabs! JDL". JDL is the Jewish Defense League (read more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Defense_League ). Apparently the trauma of the Holocaust has influenced these people in highly disturbing ways. For instance they stone little Palestinian girls going to a school very close to this where the photo was taken, part of a general pattern of intimidation and hate toward Palestinians. Many of these very aggressive settlers originate in the U.S., apparently. It seems like they are in need of serious developmental interventions to reorient their view of humanity, for they have assumed the cloak of their worst enemy and wear it as their own....

This is but one small hate sign. They are all over the place and all equally vile coming from a vile corrupt group of Jews. There is no defence for what they do to their neighbours under the protection of the IDF, many of whom come from the local settlements themselves. No lessons from the Holocaust have been learned. Look at Gaza Dec 2008-January 2009! That was burnt offerings that will keep on "giving" for millions of years in the dna of the victims. So don't point those "poor us Holocaust victims" looks at me. If one does not learn lessons, they are doomed to repeat them until they do, I am sorry to say. The settlements are part of a long term plan to drive all Palestinians off the land they have been stewarding for thousands of years by, in many cases, the dregs and most extreme of American, Russian and European Jewry, most of whom are already angry when they get there. Americans should just stop paying for them and put that money into their own citizens needs. I am sure this will upset folks like Rabkin but too bad. Damon Lynch is bang on and I thank you, Mr. Lynch, for your wonderful captures.

Arab boy threw a stone to me when I was visiting Hebron. Do you think that he did it because of JDL or israel's soldiers? I think he did it because he hates jews. He got the stone back. This is the real way to stop violence.

Did you read the book "Never Again" of Rabbi Meir Kahane? I've read it and I don't understand why they call him terrorist.

Hmm seems to me the other side has the advantage in all this and not the Palestinians. Seems to me there are those that call themselves ____ and are the of the synagoge of another. They are clouds without rain.
You'd rather have a stone thrown at you?! Well how about the Talmud which condones such acts of violence and humiliation?! How about the Talmud which insults the Christian God and sponsers violence?! The others may not bomb buses, but they are killing in other ways.

"What is happening in Hebron is different than everything else in the occupied territories. In Hebron, the most severe atrocities of the settlement enterprise are being perpetrated. . . . Every day the settlers torment their neighbors here. Every walk to school for a Palestinian child has become a journey of harassment and fear. Every shopping outing by a housewife is a journey of humiliation. Settler children kicking old women carrying baskets, settlers siccing their dogs on the elderly, garbage and feces thrown from the settlers' balconies into the courtyards of Palestinian homes, junk metal blocking the entrances of their houses, rocks thrown at any Palestinian passerby - this is the routine of life in the city." -- Gideon Levy, Haaretz Sept. 12 2005,http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/623227.html

Gideon Levy describes these campaigns by the Hebron settlers as "pogroms". This behaviour is totally unbecoming and should not only be not condoned, but altogether halted. Are you willing to work toward this goal? Do you agree that dignity and respect will one day be possible?

While one cannot condone such actions, this must be applied to both sides. So goes the expression 'being the first to cast a stone'. I would rather a stone be thrown at me than a suicide bomber climb aboard my bus. Think before you criticize.
