The garbage you see is floating on a body of water. It's everywhere. Because there is no room on the bank of the river, people have built their homes over the river itself.
One objective of the Kapit Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig project is to relocate the people who live in these homes to new areas, and provide them with better livelihood and educational opportunities. These homes will then be demolished, the river will be cleaned up. That's the plan -- it needs funding.
)c: There are 2 things coming up in my mind. First to see that children have to grow up in play in a situation like this and second, why don't the get rid of the garbage?
