We had taken a wrong turn and headed towards the Navajo Gorge coming from Antelope Canyon thinking that was the way to the Wave. On further study of the map, we realized the best way to correct the situation was to drive across the 29 mile long gravel road to the north side of the Vermillion cliffs area. The road wasn't marked very well, so there was some trepidation as we got out a ways. But it was all worth it to see some beautiful country. On that shot we did one of our routine "stop the car!" drills to take yet another shot. That would have driven my wife crazy had she been along ;<)
