The urge to photograph became overwhelming as the light started to get into the "golden hours". Hopped in the car and drove over Highway 84 towards the pacific with the most creative mind-set I have found; a state of nothingness, where there are the most possibbilities. Checked my preconceptions at home. Whatever presents itself will do so.

Stopped at the Red Barn west of Skyline Blvd on the ocean side for a series of shots. The last one was the best and also the one I saw first as I zoomed along in the car. Then I was pulled off the road with a glimpse of the strawberry farm where I have bought flats of perfect strawberries many times in summer. Waded through the new Dill and last summer's dried weeds to get that shot. On a whim took the Stage Road that curves and snakes through the hills and came out at the little village of Pescadero. Took the shots of the field and old barn just west of town. The light was starting to dim as I zoomed south and back up the coast trying to find a lagoon that had the full moon rising over it less than a week ago. I found it again at Pescadero State Beach as the sun was touching the Pacific; but there was no moon in sight and the lagoon was a mud flat at low tide. So, I then strolled over to the beach to take in the very last light of the day and played with some long exposures until it was really, really the very last light as the passing car's headlights cut long into the night as they zoomed past on the highway.
