Message from Derrel
Hello,and welcome to my pBase upload site. Once in a while I get lucky and make a picture I'm happy with. But usually, I'm very critical of my work and I'm seldom 100 percent satisfied with a photo I've made, and that keeps me trying. I've decided to re-work this site very extensively,and so the place is SUCH a MESS I've locked out some of the disorganized galleries until such time as I'm satisfied with the reorganizing effort.
Many of my photos have captions in which I try to focus attention on the technical or practical or equipment-related considerations that I feel were pertinent to the the making of the particular photographs. In a general sense, this site is about the hobby and craft of photography,and is not designed as a showcase of my photos or my photography or my portfolio. I it were designed as a showcase, there would be at most 25 photographs, and not over 2,000 photos.
On many days, I get 300 or more page views. I hope you,the anonymous viewers, enjoy looking at my pictures,and I'd encourage any of you to leave comments if you'd like to. With over 800,000 hits, I've received a scant few comments,and I'd love to hear what some of you have to say about any of my pictures.
