A helicopter photo needs to have a "bit" of motion in the rotor for it to look right in my opinion.I got this at 1/500 sec at 400mm at f/5.6 and ASA 400 on a typically dark January afternoon.
I only got off this one frame,but VR helped ensure a good steady shot.
