Despite the fact that I was born and raised in the Leith area of Edinburgh
I was unaware until recently that legendary golfer Ben Sayers was a 'Leither' too!
This (rather rough) wooden statue stands close to the North Berwick golf course
where he began his professional career in 1873. His company later went on to become
one of the worlds leading golf equipment manufacturers.
