I had hoped that today's photo would show the Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier
HMS Queen Elizabeth sailing under the newly built Queensferry Crossing.
Unfortunately, 12 hours later, the vessel is still awaiting a low enough
tide to squeeze below all three bridges spanning the Firth of Forth.
No option then but to settle instead for a train crossing the
somewhat older Forth Bridge!
