Steve Irwin son turns four
30th November 2007
Few four-year-olds celebrate their birthday in the public spotlight, but they are not Bob Irwin.
The son of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin turns four.
He and his mother Terri and big sister Bindi plan to celebrate with a birthday cake and visits from costumed characters Barney and Humphrey B Bear at a party at the family's Australia Zoo.
Bob had his first dose of the media spotlight in January 2004 when he was only a month old.
His father came under heavy criticism when he took Bob under one arm into the crocodile enclosure at the zoo and fed a dead chicken to a croc only a few metres away.
Steve Irwin, 44, was killed in a freak accident in September last year when he was speared through the heart by a stingray barb while filming a documentary off north Queensland.
