The Scottsdale Arts Festival is Scottsdale’s oldest arts festival and is held every March during the height of Arizona’s tourist season. Beginning in 1971, the Scottsdale Arts Festival has established a reputation as one of the premier arts festivals in the country. The festival is a popular favorite among visitors and artists and draws tens of thousands of visitors in a single three-day weekend. Proceeds from the Festival help support the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' programs.
The Festival is recognized for a variety of high quality fine arts and fine crafts presented by 200 acclaimed artists, featuring ceramics, painting, photography, wood, glass, jewelry and fiber, as well as the continuous presentations and performances that take place throughout the weekend. Live entertainment features jazz, folk, classical, blues, rock and world music. In addition, roving entertainers offer impromptu performances throughout the festival grounds.
The Scottsdale Arts Festival is set amidst the lush gardens and beautiful public art sculptures of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, located in Old Town Scottsdale, adjacent to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The Festival is a terrific way to spend an afternoon strolling among exhibitors, visiting with artists and enjoying live performances.
