The name of this optional tour was originally King Solomon's Mines/Timna Park. For some reason only 4 people signed up for this side-trip from Eilat. I was attracted by the name, thinking that this archaeology park might look like a Utah of Israel.
It was said that the copper mines found in this region could very possibly be the King Solomon's mines, hence the name. But, later on it was denied. However, the rock formation has created magnificent lanscape that makes it all worthwhile to visit in spite of the heat and the scorching sun.
