Ho Chi Minh City was formerly named Saigon, which was easier to remember. To most foreigners, the first thing that scares them is crossing the street. If you can handle it in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, you can cross the street easily anywhere.
I was unlucky that both the City Hall and the General Post Office, two magnificent classical buildings, were under restoration.
