This is from the top of Starved Rock. It had been rainy, and cold here. Today was supposed to be warmer and cloudy, but not rain. When we left home, it was cloudy. Just as we got there, we were in sunshine. It stayed sunny all day. As dusk fell, we got to the biggest waterfall at Matthiessen Park across the road from Starved Rock. I sent Mel up to the top to wait and walked the mile path back in darkness at the bottom of the canyon. I drove the car to where she was hiding in a shelter. :) It was clear and we had very nice view of the moon driving back. As we drove, clouds rolled in covering the moon and full sky. My vacation day turned into an unexpected day of sunshine in the midst of a couple weeks of clouds and rain. I just love it when a plan comes together. Well, I think I do. It never happend before. :)
