I was there. Had the afro. Smoked Phillip Morris Plains. Had a guitar. Tried to sound just like Dylan. Saw "Don't Look Back" 50 times. Cried over the lonesome death of Hattie. Got angry at he Masters of War and saw the futility of the arms race in a Hard Rails. The man is a genius poet/prohet even if he rejects that tag. Thanks for sharing a rare celebration of a uniquely creative time in music, culture and history. Ray

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. The Dylan shoot was arranged by Allen Ginsberg. I was nineteen when I made these photos. I'm 60 now. These and other photos of the performers, poets and events that shaped the 60s are on display at the Julie Baker Fine Art gallery in Nevada City, CA. I'm 67 and have seen Dylan twice. He never could sing but wrote two or three nice tunes and played the harmonica well. Great captures from moments in time though. Congradulations.

I was getting ready to go to Nam for the first time while you were shooting these great photos. I was at 18 very much a Dylan fan and now at #$%@^* I am still a Dylan fan. Thanks for the trip back, if only for a moment, it was still a sweet memory. A moment in time is like a tear in the rain. Thanks.
