I must say I like the other one a bit better, I see it as a skyscape rather than a landscape and it also has a kinda 3d effect. The clouds to the very front seem to hang in the Z axis and that creates the 3 d effect.

I prefer this composition. The other is ok but I feel the beauty of the layers more in this one in landscape format. This one shares the fg with the sky and the other one is all about the sky. ...:-)

I like both photos, tho they say totally diffeerent things. This is a lovely landscape photo, where as the otehr is a wonderful 'big sky' photo! Very nice!

I love them both, but the vertical one is really my favorite.

This is a lovely landscape. I'd say this version is to be preferd, as it more closely matchs your subject matter - that of a land of great breadth.
